The Mykita eyewear collection has won numerous design awards since the company was founded in 2003.
The original Mykita frames (now known as the number 1 collection) were cut out of a 0.5 mm stainless steel sheet and then folded into a full frame giving it a clean futuristic appeal. In recent times the collection has expanded in to other high tech manufacturing processes including Mykita Mylon which 3D prints frames from recycled nylon.
Not only have Mykita created minimalist styles you would expect but they have also designed retro’s shape’s that contrast nicely with the modern material. They have patented their snap hinge design which makes tradition soldering and screws redundant.
A constant search for innovation, the visionary use of materials and a wealth of experience in eyewear design are the defining elements behind MYKITA’s collections.
