Hue and Michael Bullen have over 20 years experience in dealing with all manner of different eye conditions. We have particular expertise in areas such as specialist contact lens fitting, treating dry eye and blepharitis. We have substantial post graduate qualifications, including TPA endorsements (which allow us to write prescriptions). Michael was one of the first optometrists in New Zealand to be accredited to treat glaucoma and Hue is certified by the civil aviation authority to perform medical eye examinations for pilots. We both have a passion for optometry and the patients we serve.
We believe strongly in constantly advancing our practice using new technology. We were the first optometrists in Auckland to offer optical coherence tomography and the revolutionary new Bleph-Ex® treatment for blepharitis. Optical coherence tomography allows us to detect and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration much more effectively..
